Unlike certain funds we shall not name (cough… PM CARES… cough), we believe in radical transparency. Every byte of data we collect has a purpose, and that purpose is never "sell it to the highest bidder."

When you register as a member of the Cockroach Janata Party, we collect the following information:

Full Name — so we know what to print on your digital membership card.
Email Address — for membership confirmation and important swarm updates.
Mobile Number (optional) — only if you want SMS updates. We won't spam you. We promise. We're cockroaches, not telemarketers.
City (optional) — to understand where our cockroaches are clustering.
State (optional) — for regional coordination and state-level swarm activities.

We do NOT collect your Aadhaar number, PAN card, bank details, biometric data, or anything that a reasonable person would consider invasive. We're building a movement, not a surveillance state.

Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

Membership Management — processing your registration, generating your digital membership card and unique CJP ID.
Communication — sending you movement updates, event notifications, and important swarm-wide announcements. No spam. No "hot deals." No "you won a lottery."
Regional Coordination — connecting you with state-level swarm groups if you've provided your location.
Analytics — understanding aggregate trends like how many cockroaches we have per state (no individual tracking).

We will never use your data for political profiling, targeted advertising, or anything that would make George Orwell spin in his grave faster than he already is.

We take the security of your data seriously — more seriously than certain institutions take unemployment statistics.

Encrypted Storage — all personal data is stored in encrypted databases with restricted access.
HTTPS Everywhere — our entire website runs on HTTPS, ensuring all data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted.
Access Controls — only authorised members of the Digital Infrastructure Team have access to member data.
No Plaintext Passwords — we never store passwords in plaintext. Everything is hashed and salted, just like a good paratha.

While no system is 100% secure (cockroaches are resilient, but we're also realistic), we employ industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose. Period. Full stop. End of story. Unlike electoral bonds, there are no hidden beneficiaries here.

As a member of the swarm, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Access — you can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you at any time.
Right to Correction — if any of your data is inaccurate, you can request a correction.
Right to Deletion — you can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. We'll be sad to see you go, but we respect your choice. Just email us and we'll wipe your data within 30 days.
Right to Object — you can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

One of CJP's five core demands is radical transparency. It would be peak hypocrisy to demand transparency from the government while secretly monetising your email address. We are many things — satirical, loud, occasionally chaotic — but hypocrites? Never.

Your data exists for one purpose: to power the movement. That's it. No hidden agendas, no data brokers, no Cambridge Analytica situations. We promise on the sacred honour of cockroaches everywhere.
